How one event changed many lives

On the 23rd of November, a very special occasion took place at the popular concept store strictlyHERRMANN: Lukács László first ever charity event, called “Celebrating Men“. About 40 people had come to enjoy a long awaited evening, hosted by the famous Viennese fashion and shoe designer Lukács László.

The idea behind this project was to raise funds for the Karl Schubert Schule, a school for disabled children from mostly poor families. Lukács László works there as a class teacher. Lately the school is struggling to finance maintenance and Lukács László who has always been very committed to support the less well-off, immediately came up with the idea of creating a charity event.

Additionally Lukas Lazlo first own calendar should be released under the slogan “Celebrating Men“. As well as 12 high-end photographies. Each picture representing one month of the year. All profits should go directly to the Karl Schubert Schule.

Among celebrities, such as the chief editor of Vangardist Magazine, Julian Wiehl, or Model and Blogger, Daniel Klein, there were also many other guests whose hearts were throbbing for the good cause.

At the very stylish location strictlyHERRMANN, the Lukács László team together with the Corporate Design agency Omoon had arranged a extraordinary designed exhibition of the portraits and another 12 pairs of shoes.

The event started of with a moving speech by former Karl Schubert Schule principal Elfriede Gerstl and Lukács László. Both of them emphasised the importance of being tolerant and helpful towards people who have to live with a disability.

Apart from the great food and drinks, sponsored by Kattus and BioGast, the performance of the opera ensemble Spirituosi mesmerised the visitors. The Ensemble combines Latin-American and classical elements in their absolutely stunning performances and also turned this event into a special one.

The main happening of the evening despite all the other great stuff was the auction. Three exclusive pairs of Lukács László bespoke handmade shoes should be auctioned. Moderated by Reeviz CEO and former Mister Austria Sandro Julianò, the auction was gripping and extremely amusing at the same time.

To the electric tunes of DJ Peabie the successful event slowly came to an end, while many of the guests were still diligently buying calendars and portraits in order to support the students of the Karl Schubert Schule.

In the end over 3000€ could be raised for the school. The donations will be used to provide the students of the Karl Schubert Schule with a new workshop area, which they have dreamed of for many years.

Thanks to all the sponsors, artists and most of all visitors, who supported the project and spent so much of their time, energy and money to help those who aren’t as privileged as we are. People like you make the world a better place!

If you still want to support the Karl Schubert Schule or just have a very stylish Christmas present for your loved ones: There are still calendars and pictures in stock! They are available directly at the strictlyHERRMANN store, at Taborstraße 5, 1020 Wien.
